Last month, we had lunch with several friends at Ikan Goreng Cianjur on Greenville housing complex (across Jakarta fruit store). They serve Sundanese dishes with reasonable prices. The interior is simple and clean. We ordered Nasi Liwet (Sundanese savory rice cooked in panci kastrol) 23K to share, ikan gurame goreng 40K, terong penyet 12K, udang sambal ebi 20K, tahu goreng 6K, tempe goreng 6K, pete goreng 8K, kangkung terasi 16K, sambal terasi 3K and sambal mangga 6K. Turned out some of the dishes came with a small portion of chili sauce, so we were surrounded with several plates of chili sauces. Their Nasi Liwet was delicious and the other dishes were quite good too, except for their udang sambal ebi, which appeared different from what was shown in the menu (I guess they used baby “pancet” prawn) and tasted only so so. Overall, I feel that this kind of food would taste better if we eat with hands, sitting at a meadow with hilly views, just like the one I had at Selabintana, Sukabumi, several years ago. đŸ™‚

    Jen, tinggalnya di daerah Kedoya ? Deket rumah bokap nyokap gue tuh. Mereka tinggal di Sunrise Garden. Udah coba Siaw A Tjiap yg di deket situ ? Menurut loe gimana ?

    @zee: ngga kok, kebetulan aja lewat deket greenville. Siaw A Tjiap Taman Ratu blom nyobain euy..pengen sih.. cuman blom sempet aja.. apa2 aja yang kudu dicoba disono?

    Kok ini mirip banget sm Ikan Bakar Cianjur yg di Pecenongan yah?
    Atau mereka pecah gitu? menu2nya persis n bentuk piringnya jg sama..
    Btw, yg recommended di Siaw A Tjiap tu ayam rebusnya alias PeSaKue atau Pechamke (apa sih nyebutnya? :))

    i lurve their nasi liwet… apa mungkin karena gua gak pernah makan nasi liwet di tempat lain ya?? *gubrak*
    but still… i lurve their nasi liwet… klo makan disono pasti gua yang ngadukin nasinya… ntar gua yang dapet paling banyak isi-isinya hwehehehe….

    Menu yg kudu dicoba di siauw a tjiap selain ayam rebusnya tuh udang yamha/ udang kristal, gurame tahu taosi, babat asem manis ama lumpia udangnya. Yum2. Tp lindung cah fumak walau enakan di wong fu kie. Disini jg ok kok.
