Kafe Betawi

Usually I don’t really look for Betawi restaurants in malls as I always prefer the one sold by street vendors. But SC suggested that maybe we could try one of a chain of Betawi restaurants at Pacific Place. The place is decorated nicely with Betawi ornaments.

We ordered soto Betawi 25K with steamed rice 4K, asinan betawi 18K, and hot tea 4K. It tasted quite decent. They certainly used good & fresh inggredients, which is something you can’t always expect from street food vendors. Still, it hasn’t made me change my opinion that Betawi food tasted better on the street. We had a pretty good night, especially because later that night, SC treated me to an amazing scone of chocolate sorbet at Huize van Wely downstairs. πŸ™‚
