November 2, 2007 | INDONESIAN CUISINE

Last month, we went to Kelapa Gading to try Marannu, the place offer Makassarian cuisine, such as konro and coto. Since the first floor was very crowded, we had to sit on the second floor. We ordered “sop konro” (Makassar beef ribs soup) 25.5K, “konro bakar” (grilled konro) 26.5K, both of the meals were delicious. The meat was tender and tasted even better when eaten with “buras” (ketupat/ rice cake cooked in coconut milk wrapped in banana leaf) 1K each. A few doors down from Marannu, there’s also a famous Makassar restaurant called Karebosi. I can’t say which one is more delicious because the last time I tried Karebosi was years ago, but we will find out this week. Tune in for the report 🙂

Alo, salam kenal ya, biasanya aku cuma lurking sih 🙂
Aku suka Marannu, tiap kali ke Gading cuma untuk makan ini. Menurutku sih lebih enak dari Karebosi, krn saus kacangnya Karebosi kayak saus kacang sate gitu… kurang special kayak Marannu.
