Nasi Kebuli @ Biak Street

Posted on December 4, 2006 | 7 comments

I visited this place about a month ago with SC, located in front of “Mestika Bank” at Biak street, the street was full with a lot of interesting street food vendor at night. from what I heard this place served quite authentic “nasi kebuli” (every Saturday), so without hesitation we ordered 1 portion of nasi kebuli with kari kambing, 1 roti canne (plain, because we think we can use the kari kambing for dipping) and 2 “teh tarik”. overall the food was delicious, but was a little bit pricey. All of that cost us about 52K. besides nasi kebuli, they also served : “martabak kari palembang”, “martabak telur daging special”, “prata ala Singapore” & “mie celor Palembang”.

Ever tried HAR at gadjah mada? It has the best teh tarik and Roti Cane i’ve tasted in Jakarta so far. The food isn’t pricey either.Teh tarik 4 thousand, roti cane 5. No nasi kebuli though only biryani but that’s only available in weekends, it cost 15 thousand, they mix the lamb with the rice and they use basmati too. Try it if you haven’t.
