SC & I love Bali so much that every time there are news about cheap flight ticket promo, we splurged to spend a few days there. Of course, just like in our previous trips to Bali, our time was spent on finding places to eat. It doesn’t have to be a fancy new eatery, we’re happy if we found that hidden gem locals (not tourists) usually go to. So without further ado, below are the summary of what we ate last weekend in Bali.

Great Blog. One place in Bali which you may want to look up is Babi Guling Prana Prasaddam at jalan raya Mambal. IMHO, the taste surpasses that of Pak Dobiel, Candra, Sanur, Penatih, Men Agus and other similar establishments. It is nearly as good as Ibu Oka when Ibu Oka was at its peak some years ago. I have also suggestions for 2 other lapo in Medan if you are interested. Hoping you every success in your blog. Sender sila

Hi Sila, thanks for the tip, I’ll make sure to look it up the next time we go to Bali. Ibu Oka is just sad. We tried it last March and let’s just say that I’m pretty sure Anthony Bourdain would’ve retracted all of his superlative praises if he returned there today.

Hi, great blog and photos! I’ll be going to Bali early next year for 5 days, and would like to ask what are some must-try restaurants in Ubud and Kuta? Thanks!!
