November 5, 2014 | Central Java Cuisine, No Pork, Yogyakarta
We arrived in Yogyakarta around dinner time and we only had one night before going home to Jakarta the next morning, so there were not much we can try. But that night, we managed to eat at Gudeg Sagan and Bakmi Doring, the next morning, I have a portion of Gudeg Bu Tini near our hotel.
Gudeg Sagan
Serving gudeg basah (wet gudeg) in quite a nice place and ambience. There was live music the night we’re eating there. The gudeg was not overly sweet and the sambal krecek was spicy, so I quite like this.

Bakmi Doring
Serving typical Javanese noodle such as bakmi godog and bakmi goreng that was cooked in a charcoal stove. Tasted quite delicious, but most of all I like their wedang uwuh.

Gudeg Bu Tini
Just another gudeg seller around the corner near where we stayed. serving gudeg kering (dry gudeg) and not too sweet. It was simple, but delicious.
