Mi Goreng AcehLast week, I visited 2 restaurants specialized on authentic Acehnese Cuisine. Both restaurants were located at jl. Bendungan Hilir, one located across the Benhill traditional market (MEUTIA), and the others (SEULAWAH) was across the Mintohardjo Hospital. Acehnese food was popular for having a very spicy and hot taste.

I can’t mention exactly what they served, but I remember some of it were Urap Sayur Aceh, Mi Goreng Aceh (Acehnese fried noodles), gulai ikan kayu (wooden fish?), Gulai Bebek (duck in Curry Sauce) and a glass of ii boh timon (cucumber water). Overall…. Very tasty, spicy & very recommended 🙂

    hi jezz, u should try mie aceh indrajaya near to Perumnas Klender..
    great taste plus spicy rather than Meutia
    try to get Mie Kuah

    Hi Jenz. I visited Banda Aceh last January & had chance to try several Acehnesse food. You should try “ayam tangkap”, that’s very popular there. I think Acehnesse food is rather similar to Padangnesse one.
