We rarely ventured to Kemang area since it’s quite far from where we live. But one of our friend who happens to live in the area frequented this place quite often and shared it in her social media. It piqued my interest, so on one fine Sunday last month, we went there for lunch.
Akasya Express is a canteen/cafeteria owned by Akasya Catering, so the menu should be good since it is one of the top caterers in Jakarta. There were a lot of mouth watering dishes to choose from at the counter, but since it was just the four of us, we only ordered: sop buntut (oxtail soup) 45K, nasi bali (Balinese style mixed rice) 35K, lidah cabe hijau 25K, orek tempe 15K, oseng pepaya 20K, sayur lodeh 15K, sambel matah 5K, lemper bubuk 7.5K.
All in all, most of the dishes we tried that day were delicious. Although the price can be quite high for a cafeteria, I think the dishes they provide worth my every rupiah. If only it’s closer to where we live.
