July 28, 2009 | German Cuisine, JAKARTA, South Jakarta, With Pork
Three weeks ago, on our anniversary, SC took me to Die Stube for lunch. It’s a famous German restaurant that serves authentic German cuisine. Die Stube is located in Kemang area next to
Praline ice cream parlor. Once inside, we were instantly taken with the ambience of this place, which is very warm & cozy, with German related memorabilias everywhere. There’s also a bar on the right side of the restaurant.
Since there was only the two of us, we decided not to order pork knuckle. We only ordered Bonanza wurst platte (gemischte wurste) (huge sausage selection :pork, beef & lamb with choice of condiments for 2 person) 99K, For the side dishes we order sauerkraut (fermented cabbage) 20K and roesti(swiss potato cake) 25K. It was delicious. The portion is big enough for 2 and I love the sausages and the roesti. Too bad the sauerkraut is way too sour for our taste. The service was also very friendly. If you love German dishes, you should definitely visit Die Stube. 🙂
