3 weeks ago, we had dinner with several friends at Dinar seafood restaurant. The restaurant serves Makassar-style dishes. One of their specialty is ikan kudu-kudu bakar (it’s a uniquely shaped fish that has a hard scale and grilled with spice in its stomach). So here’s what we ordered : ikan kudu kudu bakar 40K, kepiting jantan lada hitam 70K, udang mayonaise 45K, kangkung belacan 12.5K, cumi saous XO 45K, sop kepala ikan 40K, and pete bakar (1 papan) 5K. Overall, all the dishes were impressive although the portion was not very big. I especially like the kudu-kudu fish, their sop kepala ikan was hot and tasty, it reminded me of Manado’s sop ikan asam, combined with Thai’s Tom Yam Kung. The crab was also superb with generous amount of black pepper. I love mixing my pete bakar with the black pepper and eat it with rice. It tasted heavenly 🙂
