So, lets continue on my Bali food notes before I forgot. After a hearty breakfast at Warung Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Bu Mardika, I went to Ubud art market to walk around and burn some calories. After going around there for nearly two hours, I went to Ibu Rai rest & bar at Monkey Forest road for some light lunch. The place has a very nice ambience. It has a Balinese design with exposed roofing, some Balinese painting on the wall and a small vase of orchid on every table. I instantly love this place. It’s a perfect stop for a hot day.
Since I was still quite full from the breakfast and SC was not around to share my food, I only ordered Chicken avocado Balinese Salad 39K. The dish consists of a slice of chicken breast, mixed lettuce, lemon and avocado tossed with Balinese lemongrass, cream/coconut milk dressing and cashew nut. The dish was light enough and more importantly, delicious. I loved the coconut milk dressing. It was perfectly balanced with other ingredients. A friend of mine recommended their mango lassi, but I’ve already ordered mineral water (well, maybe next time). 🙂
