Jendela Bali

On our last night in Bali, we visited GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana) cultural park. After watching the kecak dance, we decided to go to Jendela Bali for dinner. I had visited this place once back in 2003, when it was still called DeMemedi and had a very good impression on the food & the view. Set on the Uluwatu Hilltop in GWK area, this place has a magnificient view of Bali especially during sunset or dinner time. So if you’re going here, ask to sit at the porch or near the pool area.

We ordered: Balinese package I 90K which consisted of: soup cerancam ikan (Balinese snapper soup), Bebek goreng kering (crispy fried duck), slices of fresh fruits and a choice of tea/coffee. We also ordered Nasi Bukit Jendela Bali (Jendela Bali’s Rijstafel) 58K which is a Balinese tumpeng served with shredded beef, spicy chicken curry, seafood satay, omelette, grilled snapper and vegetables urap. Before the meal arrived, we’re presented with a complimentary bread which tasted good. I loved the crancam soup, my crispy duck (2 pcs) were also delicious, perfectly fried so they were crispy on the outside but still tender and juicy inside. Great view, great service, great food (and generous portions as well), with affordable prices, what more could you ask for?
