September 6, 2008 | Cirebon, INDONESIAN CUISINE, Rice, West Java Cuisine
The next morning, after some “light” breakfast at the hotel, we went to Warung Nasi Jamblang Mang Dul. A very popular dish in Cirebon, Nasi Jamblang is rice wrapped in teak leaf and we can choose from a large number of side dishes to accompany the rice. Mang Dul is among the most favorite nasi jamblang sellers in Cirebon (besides nasi jamblang pelabuhan). The place was very crowded when we arrived. People are queuing to get a plate of nasi jamblang, and then they took what they want from the vast selection on the table. After that, they search for an empty spot (really tough to find) and sit down to enjoy their meal. The meal was tasty and the price was reasonable.
