Today we had lunch at Pandan Bistro with several friends. We’ve noticed this place for some time now as it’s always packed with visitors and we finally get to try it today. The place was packed as usual. Coincidentally, as we walked into the restaurant, I met another group of friends who told me that Pandan Bistro is coming from the same management as Pondok Laguna that is famous for its Gurame Goreng and Tahu Kipas. So, we expected the menu here to be at least as good as in Pondok Laguna.
We got a table and started ordering Gulai Kepala Ikan 108.3K, Ikan Gurame Goreng 51.5K, 2 Tahu Kipas @29.9K & Genjer Teri 22K. The ‘Gulai Kepala Ikan‘ came first. The portion was quite large and the taste was great. Then came the rest of the dishes. All of it tasted above average. I especially liked the genjer teri. The Tahu Kipas was also worthy of praise as it was crispy outside and it got several decent-sized prawns as filling. My only comment was the the beverages portion is a bit too small, so we had to order more than one drink.
