June 10, 2011 | INDONESIAN CUISINE, JAKARTA, Kaki Lima, South Jakarta, West Sumatra Cuisine

For most people, post-dinner activities usually involve going a coffee shop or lounge to chill out. In our group, we called it pintong (short for pindah tongkrongan). So after dinner at Q Smokehouse that night, we decided to move to another place for eating (again). This time we went to a kaki lima eatery not far from Q. Sate Padang Ajo Ramon is located in front of Pasar Santa. Apparently, Ajo Ramon is quite a popular eatery since the place was quite crowded when we arrived.

We ordered several portions of sate padang to share. I specifically asked for the tongue satay. It was delicious, with moderately-sized portions. My satay is tender (don’t know about the meat satay) and I liked the satay sauce as it was tasty, but not too spicy. A portion of sate padang cost us about 15K. It was a delicious, yet sinful way (remember your cholesterol lvl jenz!) to end the night.
