December 6, 2010 | Bali, Balinese Cuisine, Seafood

On the 6th day, SC and I went to different places. He had to attend an event at Warmadewa University, so I joined Nath and Angga, her Balinese friend, at Depot Bu Noor. The place came highly recommended by Angga. It was not big (looked more like a small warteg) but packed with customers which sat side by side on a small wooden chair and digging into their fish soup almost religiously. I have to admit that their fish soup is much much more tastier and spicier that the famous Mak Beng across the road. If you’re lucky, you’ll get pieces of the fish cheek which tasted heavenly. The price was also very reasonable, only about 10K, if I’m not mistaken.
