The next day, we headed to Sanur for Warung Mak Beng, an eatery famous for its fried jangki fish and fish head soup. Located near Sindhu beach, this place is said to be quite popular and would usually sold out by lunch time. Luckily, it was quite empty when we arrived and we can easily get a seat. As usual, we ordered only one portion of fried fish & fish head 22K and orange juice 7K to share. The fried fish was accompanied with sambel ulek and a wedge of lime. The fish head soup is a clear soup with cucumber that tasted very spicy and sour. It was delicious and also fresh. I think they get their fish from nearby Sanur fishermen. 🙂

    MakBeng…ehemmmm…i’m not a fan of fish actually, but once i was forced to try this fried fish & the fish soup..i had a different opinion about fish ;-)..i always bring back the sambal..haven!!
